Description
The NADSP Code of Ethics (COE) is intended to guide the professional practice of direct support professionals (DSPs) who support people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The COE was recently revised and validated by DSPs to speak to their current role in direct support. This issue provides resources to deepen understanding of the revised COE, including 10 instructional videos and articles authored by DSPs, people receiving support, and other field experts. By sharing their lived experiences, these authors emphasize the need for ethical practices and offer examples of how ethical decision-making can help resolve complex challenges.
