Inclusive Education Strategies: A Textbook [English version]

Description

This textbook is a resource for implementing inclusive education practices in Armenia, other post-Soviet countries, and countries on the path to a more inclusive education and society. The content of the textbook was developed through a collaboration between staff at the University of Minnesota's Institute on Community Integration (Global Resource Center on Inclusive Education), University of Minnesota faculty, and other U.S. experts in inclusive education as well as faculty at the Armenian State Pedagogical University, staff at UNICEF Armenia, and other educators in the Republic of Armenia. It is designed to be used by university faculty, in-service and pre-service teachers, education specialists, the staff of governmental and nongovernmental organizations, as well as family members interested in exploring, teaching, and implementing inclusive education practices. This resource is paired with the film, Education for Every Child: Armenia's Path to Inclusion, and is accompanied by three webinars and three learning modules. The textbook is also available in Armenian, making it the first textbook on inclusive education available in the Armenian language that was co-authored by Armenian educators.
