Description

A report describing the status of, and trends in, long-term supports and services for people with intellectual or developmental disabilities in the U.S. on June 30, 2014. It is based on an annual nationwide survey of directors of state intellectual and developmental disability agencies and large state residential facilities conducted by the National Residential Information Systems Project (RISP) at the Research and Training Center on Community Living. The report presents data on individualized and congregate settings, utilization and expenditures for Medicaid's Home and Community-Based Waiver (HCBS) and Medicaid's Intermediate Care Facilities for Individuals with Intellectual Disabilities program, national longitudinal trends in the utilization of and expenditures for long-term services and supports, and services and supports provided in state-operated facilities serving 16 or more people with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
