Road Map of Core Competencies for the Direct Service Workforce
Description
A series of reports identifying a common set of core competencies across community-based long-term services and supports sectors: aging, behavioral health (including mental health and substance use), intellectual/developmental disabilities, and physical disabilities. This research aims to assist states, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services, and other federal agencies to take a more comprehensive and standardized approach to Direct Service Workforce education, training, and quality improvement through the creation of a nationally-validated core competency set.
