Wellness Matters for Direct Support: Episode 5: Eating Healthy on a Budget


Jenny Breen has been a professional chef and advocate for sustainable food systems and food justice, and has worked directly with farmers and producers in the Twin Cities area, since the mid-1980s. Jenny’s philosophy about food is that it does more than provide us with nutrients. It has memories and cultural ties. We use it to celebrate. She recognizes that people have limited time, skills, and resources. It doesn't have to be expensive to eat more nutritious food. She believes in “cook once and eat two or three times.” Join us to learn about how to eat nutritious food on a tight budget.
