Description

Direct support professionals (DSPs) advocate regularly with the people they support. This issue of Frontline Initiative argues that DSPs now need to speak up for themselves and their profession—and it gives them the tools to do so. Much of this advocacy relates to public policy and voting. Further, the benefits of this advocacy are not limited to direct support workers: Strengthening the direct support profession also serves the people who are supported by improving the coverage, quality, and consistency of direct support.
