MIHEC Learning Community Webinars: Student and Faculty Experience

New

Description

This Learning Community session highlights a shared campus perspective by bringing together current college students and faculty from the same institution. Students share their lived experiences navigating campus life, engaging in coursework, and pursuing their career goals, reflecting on what has supported their success and the challenges they have encountered. Faculty offer complementary insights into their experiences supporting college students with intellectual and developmental disabilities on campus. By hearing directly from students from Syracuse University, North Dakota State University, and the University of Kansas—and the faculty who work alongside them—viewers gain a cohesive, real-world view of how inclusive higher education is implemented on a single campus. The session may foster meaningful dialogue and practical learning for families, students, educators, faculty, and staff across the state.
