Direct support professionals (DSPs) are accustomed to speaking up for the wants and needs of the people they support. In this episode, Nick Smith shares his story of speaking up for himself and all DSPs on a national stage.

Smith has been a DSP for over 25 years and has worked for the past 17 years at SPIN, Inc., in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. In 2023, he contributed to the Frontline Initiative issue on DSPs using the NADSP Code of Ethics to support people.
