Description

These services will strengthen Maryland's direct support workforce through professional development, competency-based training, and a credentialing system. The Training Policy Framework for DSPs (direct support professionals) from the Maryland Department of Health, Developmental Disabilities Administration will be used to develop the statewide platform using DirectCourse’s online curricula for community living. Implementing workforce strategies to professionalize Maryland's direct support workforce will address turnover; attract, recruit, and retain qualified talent; and engage and prepare the workforce to deliver high-quality services.
