The Institute's monthly staff newsletter features news of recent activities, accomplishments, and resources. This month's first feature story is about using teleoutreach to connect with isolated rural and highly-mobile military families concerned about their children's developmental milestones but who often wait years to access behavioral specialists and developmental pediatricians. The second story is about Boldly Challenging Ableism, a popular broadcast/podcast that ICI co-produces with a radio station. The third story is about a new report from an ICI research team that has provided the first-ever U.S. data on the prevalence of spina bifida across the lifespan. This month's Update is Quinn Oteman (MNLEND 2020-21), a University of Minnesota child welfare researcher who evaluates outside agencies and gathers feedback from families receiving services.
