FYI is a monthly e-communication from the Institute on Community Integration. The March 2022 issue includes four feature stories, an ICI Facebook post, new publications, upcoming events and participation opportunities, staff updates, and a partner update.
The first story features an organization that promotes higher education for Minnesotans with disabilities. The second story is about Check & Connect's biannual conference in February 2022. The third story features newly-published research from the University of Minnesota (including ICI) that found racial disparities in identifying autism in young children, and overall prevalence rates, pointing to broad implications for all children with autism as they grow into adulthood. The final story is about ICI Director Amy Hewitt and her husband, who chaired The Arc Minnesota’s Gala in March 2022, along with their family. This month's partner update is about the director of the Self-Advocacy Resource and Technical Assistance Center, who serves on ICI’s Self-Advocate Advisory Committee.
