- Author(s)

Description
A brief describing the characteristics and circumstances of adults with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities (IDD) who receive Supplemental Security Income (SSI) and the families who care for them. The brief is based on findings from the Family and Individual Needs for Disability Supports (FINDS) survey that ICI's Research and Training Center on Community Living (RTC-CL) and The Arc of the United States conducted in 2017. Over half (52.6%) of non-elderly adults with IDD about whom caregivers reported in the FINDS survey received SSI.
