Since 1996, Andrea Zuber has been a dedicated and passionate advocate for people with disabilities. Her work has centered on striving to ensure self-efficacy, prosperity, liberation and freedom for the individuals she works with. She started her work in Human Services as a direct support professional for people with disabilities, and is now the owner and President of Skifte, LLC, a national consulting firm focused on organizational and system transformation in Health and Human Services. Before launching Skifte, Andrea roles included serving as the CEO for The Arc Minnesota and the Director of Social Services for Dakota County, Minnesota. Andrea’s 29 years of experience in the disability arena also includes managing Disability Services for Ramsey County, as well as doing policy work for the Minnesota Department of Human Services Disability Services Division related to the early implementation of the Minnesota Olmstead Plan. Andrea's belief is that ALL people have an innate capacity, wisdom, resiliency, and strength that can be tapped into, and if leveraged, will lead to a full, healthy and prosperous life.
