The Minnesota Positive Behavior Support Network (MNPBS) has developed these standards of practice for Positive Behavior Support. MNPBS is a community of practice linked to the International Association for Positive Behavior Support. The standards outline a three-tiered framework reflecting a continuum of increasingly intensive strategies for improving quality of life and preventing challenging behavior for all people and in all stages of life. The standards are meant to be helpful across early childhood, education, and community settings. These standards can be used to implement positive behavior support, evaluate implementation efforts, and advocate for effective practice.
