FYI is a monthly e-communication from the Institute on Community Integration. The February 2022 issue includes three feature stories, an ICI Facebook post, new publications, upcoming events and participation opportunities, staff updates, and an alumni update.
The first story features ICI's advocacy in the Congo for disability rights. The second story is about an international forum on outcome measurement that ICI is hosting in April. The third story invites nominations for the Moving Mountains award for excellence in direct support to people with disabilities; ICI and two national organizations will present the award during a conference this summer. This month's alumni update is about a music therapist whose MNLEND project weaves together symphony movements and the real-life stories of people with disabilities. Last fall, the show debuted to audience acclaim at MacPhail Center for Music in Minneapolis and this fall comes to the Landmark Center in St. Paul.
