FYI is a monthly e-communication from the Institute on Community Integration. The April 2022 issue includes four feature stories, an ICI Facebook post, new publications, an upcoming event, participation opportunities, staff updates, and an alumni update.
The first story announces the spring issue of Impact, which explores higher education for students with disabilities. That theme is echoed in the second feature story, which is about ICI joining with the Association on Higher Education and Disability and other partners to oversee and expand the National Center for College Students with Disabilities. The third story looks back at ICI's participation in the College of Education and Human Development’s recent Research Day. The last story is about a College event that was organized by Renáta Tichá, who co-directs ICI's Global Resource Center for Inclusive Education, to discuss helping Ukrainians survive and rebuild after the Russian invasion. This FYI concludes on a hopeful note, with an update from alumna Kamila Rollan from Kazakhstan, who was recently appointed to her country's Presidential Council for Youth Policy.
