The Institute's monthly staff newsletter features news of recent activities, accomplishments, and resources. This month's first feature story is about a powerful new video series, filmed by ICI staff, that features adults with disabilities speaking frankly about sexual self-advocacy. The second story is about the graduation of the 2023-24 MNLEND fellows. The third story is about K. Charlie Lakin, the former director of the Institute's Research and Training Center on Community Living, who received the University of Minnesota's highest alumni honor in a ceremony in June. The last story is about an issue of Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities, a publication of the American Association on Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (AAIDD) that was created by ICI Director Amy Hewitt and numerous colleagues. This month's alumni update is about Shauna McDonald, the executive director of Playworks Minnesota.
