FYI from the Institute on Community Integration: December 2018

Description

FYI Monthly is a monthly e-communication from the Institute on Community Integration. The December 2018 edition includes four feature stories, a leading ICI Facebook post from the past month, several new publications, and numerous staff updates.

The first feature story is about how ICI is using telehealth to connect Minnesotans with disabilities and their families with Twin Cities' professionals. The second story tells how ICI's TIES Center is marking its first anniversary with new information and resources for use by educators across the country to improve the quality of education for K-8 students with the most significant cognitive disabilities in inclusive environments. The third story is about a new ICI collaboration with Hennepin County to improve early screening and intervention for children with autism in Minnesota's largest county. The last story is about the growth of ICI's Check & Connect program (a model that promotes school engagement and graduation) in communities, states, and foreign countries.
