Wall Street Journal Profiles ICI's Katrina Simons

The Wall Street Journal pictured and profiled ICI's Katrina Simons in the April 27 feature story, "Demand for In-Home Care Rises During Coronavirus."  The article shows how the pandemic has increased the already-high turnover among direct support staff, which worsens home-care arrangements for seniors and people with disabilities like Simons, who lost four staff members within 48 hours. Simons, 32, believes the replacements will soon return to their full-time jobs. “It’s not a job many people would take," she tells the Journal. "They can earn more collecting unemployment.”
