The September 26 weekly newsletter of the National Rehabilitation Information Center (NARIC) highlighted the new HCBS Outcome Measurement Database, which is hosted by ICI's Rehabilitation Research and Training Center on Home and Community-Based Services (HCBS) Outcomes Measurement (RTC-OM). The Institute's RTC-OM is funded by the National Institute on Disability, Independent Living, and Rehabilitation Research (NIDILRR), a grant-making agency at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services that funds research to generate new knowledge and to promote its effective use to improve the abilities of people with disabilities to perform activities of their choice in the community. The NARIC newsletter, which reports news from around the NIDILRR community, described the database's main features and how they benefit users.
