The Beacon-News, which is a suburban publication of the Chicago Tribune, cited data from ICI's RISP project in an article about three men with developmental disabilities who have owned their own home for years. In the article, the RISP data underscores the fact that a large majority of people with intellectual/developmental disabilities (IDD) who don't live with family now live in small group settings. The data show that this is different from decades ago when most people with IDD lived in large group settings.
