A recent article in the Austin Daily Herald credits ICI's Check & Connect program with improving attendance at an elementary school in that southern Minnesota town. Noting that Check & Connect began at the University of Minnesota in 1990, the article reported statistics that impressed the Austin School Board: an "overwhelming decrease" in behavioral issues and sharp increases in reading levels and student progress.
