The American Association on Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (AAIDD) has announced that ICI's David R. Johnson will receive its 2018 Education Award. Each year, AAIDD honors selected individuals or groups who have made outstanding contributions to the field and Johnson is among this year's esteemed honorees. The awards will be presented at AAIDD's annual meeting, which in 2018 will be in St. Louis, Missouri from June 25-28.
Founded in 1876, AAIDD advocates for the equality, dignity, and human rights of people with intellectual and developmental disabilities, and for their full inclusion and participation in society.
