National Goals in Research, Policy, and Practice

Description

A series of videos and accompanying briefs that grew out of the National Goals in Research, Policy, and Practice working meeting held in Washington, DC, in 2015. Participants summarized the current state of knowledge on issues affecting people with intellectual and developmental disabilities, and then identified a platform of national goals, organized by 10 focus areas (or strands), in research, policy, and practice in intellectual and developmental disabilities. The series includes 10 videos, one for each strand, with both a researcher and a self-advocate providing short presentations. The video presentations were developed for a variety of audiences to advance a research agenda that will influence policy and practice for and with people with intellectual and developmental disabilities over the next 10 years.
