The Institute's monthly staff newsletter features news of recent activities, accomplishments, and resources. This month's first feature story is about the researchers and clinical specialists from ICI and the Masonic Institute for the Developing Brain who are finding new ways to help military-connected families and people living in rural communities access services for children's mental, emotional, developmental, and behavioral health care. The second story is about self-advocate Dupree Edwards, an ICI staff member who was recently elected board co-chair of The Arc Minnesota. The third story is about a new online training from ICI's TIES Center, which will help paraprofessionals learn new skills to support students seeking an inclusive education. The fourth story is about the upcoming Disability Pride Festival, which ICI co-sponsors. This month's Update is a MNLEND fellow with strong ideas about the special education system meant to support and serve children with intellectual and other developmental disabilities.
