1.4 million people with intellectual or developmental disabilities (IDD) get long-term supports and services. About 63% of these people live with family members. Ten percent live in their own homes. Five percent live in host/foster family homes. Only 22% live in group settings. Adults with IDD who need supports should get to choose where and with whom they live while getting those supports.
