Description

A brief describing how self-directed long-term services and supports (LTSS) are currently implemented in the United States. Self-direction provides individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities (IDD) and/or their families the opportunity to direct and manage their supports. Over the past decade, states across the U.S. have transitioned from pilot projects to statewide implementations, reaching tens of thousands of new participants.
