FYI from the Institute on Community Integration: September 2018

Description

FYI Monthly is a monthly e-communication from the Institute on Community Integration. The September 2018 edition includes three feature stories, ICI's top Facebook post from the past month, a newly-redesigned Frontline Initiative, six journal articles authored or co-authored by Institute researchers, two events, and numerous staff updates.

The first feature article is "New Database of Instruments that Measure HCBS Outcomes for People with Disabilities," which is about the latest accomplishment of ICI's Rehabilitation Research and Training Center on HCBS Outcome Measurement. "International Symposium to Mark Completion of ICI Project with Armenia" is about ICI's work and the products it collaborated on (including the first inclusive education textbook in the Armenian language) in that eastern European country during this UNICEF-funded project. Finally, "ICI Welcomes Fulbright Scholar from South Korea," is about visiting professor Dr. Kyung Mee Kim who is studying person-centered practices and individual budgeting at ICI for a year so she can inform disability policy in Korea with what she learns in Minnesota.
