To translate research into must-see products to improve education

NCEO delivers products to help students learn

The name ‘Michael Moore’ may be familiar to you. This is a different one. This Michael Moore edits and produces products on behalf of the National Center on Educational Outcomes (NCEO). His work ranges from producing hundreds of reports, managing a national website accessed by states and hundreds  of school districts across the country, and developing NCEO’s many online interactive reports and communication vehicles. NCEO’s products are used by states and federal agencies to ensure that they base their decisions about the  development of tests and test policies for students with disabilities, English learners (ELs), and ELs with disabilities on the latest research and evidence from the field.

“In the past year,” says Moore, “the website had more than 95,000 individual sessions with 175,000 page views. And over 2,000 publications were downloaded. We know people are using NCEO’s products.”

“We know people are using NCEO’s products.”

Moore’s talents extend to film making. He has developed scripts for actors as part of an online training curriculum to help educators improve accommodations decision making. One video featured the story of a student with disabilities, her teachers, and family working together to support her progress in school. “We worked hard to make sure that everyone in the videos looked and sounded like real people.”

Today, NCEO has a new look and a new easy to navigate website. Take a look, stay connected, and see what you think.
