How the Students Only Page was Developed!
In July of 1997, a group of young adults from a Minnesota High School
- Robbinsdale Armstrong - in grades 9-12 - willingly gave their day to help
the All Means All School-to-Work Project! These students were asked to contribute
to the Students Only Page on the All Means All School-to-Work Website. The
task was to help write and develop the student page for ALL children and
young adults. The students assisted by developing specific questions that
others could begin thinking about in relation to getting involved and becoming
leaders in school-to-work activities and opportunities. The result is what
you see!
Not only did the students help to develop this page, but they continued
to help answer questions that came in on our School-to-Work
Wizards Question and Answer page in relation to student involvement
and leadership in school-to-work. These students also developed the name
for the School-to-Work Wizards page of this website.
The students were of different ages and backgrounds, and had a variety
of skills, talents, and interests. Some had disabilities, some did not.
This group of students felt strongly that the information for student involvement
in school-to-work is extremely important for ALL high school students, as
well as for grade school and middle school students. It is a way to begin
understanding and contributing to the success of their own future. We want
to thank and congratulate these young adults for their hard work and contributions
to making this website a success.
