Women's Educational Equity
Act Resource Center (www2.edc.org/WomensEquity) The site for the
national Women's Educational Equity Act Resource Center. Works to improve
educational, social, and economic outcomes for women and girls. The site
offers information on publications, articles, a Gender Equity Expert Panel,
grantee information and links to Web and other resources.
National Clearinghouse for English
Language Acquisition (www.ncela.gwu.edu) Provides practioners with
information on the education of limited-English proficient students. The
Center compiles information on materials, programs, research, and resources.

School-to-Work Disability
National Center on Secondary Education and Transition (NCSET)
(www.ncset.org) The National Center on Secondary Education and Transition (NCSET) coordinates national resources, offers technical assistance, and disseminates information related to secondary education and transition for youth with disabilities in order to create opportunities for youth to achieve successful futures.
Transition
Research Institute (TRI) (www.ed.uiuc.edu/sped/tri/institute.html) Since 1985, the Institute has conducted a number of intervention, evaluation, and policy studies aimed at improving our understanding of transition processes and outcomes for youth with disabilities. This site includes information on transition planning, model transition projects, technical assistance, information and dissemination, and transition related websites.
National Transition Network
(NTN) (ici2.education.umn.edu/ntn/) Provides technical assistance
and evaluation services to states with grants for Transition Systems Change
and School-to-Work Implementation and Development. Includes an overview
of two projects, products/publications, calendar of events (teleconferences
& workshops), state contacts, and links to related sites.
National Information Center for Children
and Youth with Disabilities (NICHCY) (www.nichcy.org) Provides information
on disabilities and disability-related issues, links with people who share
common concerns, publishes newsletters and articles, and helps information
flow between people who have it and people who need it!
Institute on Community
Integration (ICI) (ici.umn.edu) A University Affiliated
Program dedicated to improving community services and social support for
persons with disabilities and their families. Includes an overview of the
Institute, publications catalog, reports and resource guides, projects on-line,
and other disability related sites.
National Center to
Improve Practices in Special Education (www2.edc.org/NCIP/) A national resource center to improve practices in special education through technology, media, and materials. Links include technology and disability, disability resources, specific sites, special education, family and parent support, government resources, funding, universities with special education resources, and more.
Special Education
Resources on the Internet (seriweb.com) A collection of Internet accessible information resources of interest to anyone wanting more information of issues related to disability. Includes general disabilities information, as well as information on specific disability areas, legal and law resources, discussion groups, national organizations, resources, gifted and talented, and much more.
